The Problem
Patients leave the doctor with a paper prescription and good intentions — doses get missed, courses go unfinished, and existing reminder apps require tedious manual entry that stops people at setup.
The Solution
- Two-model reading pipeline — MedGemma for prescription OCR, with Gemini Vision fallback
- Three-stage validation (match, validate, enrich) against real medicine data before any reminder is set
- Source prescription photo retained alongside every extraction for verification
- Offline-first medication history and reminders stored on-device with Isar
- Confirm-dose adherence loop with configurable alert schedules
- Extracted easy_flutter, a reusable, tested internal Flutter framework
Outcome
In active development. HIPAA compliant, with a compiler-enforced multi-package architecture and a reusable easy_flutter framework now used across CookieTech's Flutter work.
